Mary Kate’s Film Review
“SHREK”
“SHREK” is my one of favourite movies because it has music in it. It has slow songs and fast ones. I like both types of songs. It has many songs and most of them are fast. My favourite song is “Halleluiah”
SHREK is about an ogre who falls in love with Fiona, another ogre. Shrek lives in the forest and he has a friend donkey named Donkey. His life is ruined when the woods has all the fairy tale people sent to live there. He goes to Lord Farquaad to make them go away and he makes a deal. He has to find and rescue Fiona, a princess, so Lord Farquaad can marry her. Instead, Shrek and Fiona fall in love. In the end, we find out that Fiona is actually an ogre. Shrek and Fiona get married.
It was very funny. Fiona and Shrek were my favourite characters because I liked what happened to them in the movie. The donkey was funny because he would sneak in the bed to sleep beside Shrek and he talks a lot. The movie was animated and the illustrations were colourful and had lots of detail. The character’s faces were like a human and they looked friendly. It was funny to see all the fairy tale characters as “real” people.
The Directors were Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jensen. Mike Myers was the voice of Shrek and Eddie Murphy was Donkey. Princess Fiona was played by Cameron Diaz.
I really liked the movie and would recommend it to anybody. Little kids and adults would enjoy it.
